Apple iPhone Launches with O2

Apple announced this week that they will be launching their much awaited iPhone in the UK with a deal exclusive to O2. The cost of the iphone at launch will be £269 (approx $540) which compares to an initial launch price of $599 in the US, although prices for the 8Gb have just been slashed in the US.
You’ll have to sign up to a 18 month contract if you want one though. Is it worth it? On the basis that it’s a phone, an ipod, a way of browsing the web and watching tv – yes I reckon so.
I launched an iPhone product review site sometime last year. Forgive the basic nature of the site but at the time I just wanted to get news about this new smartphone out. Whilst basic in design, it’s got everything you’d ever want to know about the iPhone on it.
With over 1 million iPhone having been sold in the US already, the Apple / O2 launch date of 9th November 2007 is timed perfectly for the all important Christmas sales period – just form a queue behind me!
To check availability see The Carphone Warehouse, the O2 Shop or Phones Direct 247.
