Panasonic Launches Its Stylish HX40 Headphones

Panasonic has announced its latest HX40 slim and lightweight headphones. The HX40 will be available this December in six colors (black, blue, green, white, black with pink, and white with pink). Panasonic isn't just positioning these headphones as a listening tool, rather they're also touted as being a fashion statement, and they do look attractive. The HX40 features a Flat Fold Design that allows the headphones to be folded completely flat, allowing it to be stored in your luggage without taking up too much space. In terms of sound quality, the speakers use a unique Hybrid Diaphragm, made from a soft material on the rim, while the inner part uses a harder material, a combination which results in a wide frequency range without distortion.

Ultimate Ears 100 Noise-Isolating Earphones now in five different designs

The Ultimate Ears 100 Noise-Isolating Earphones are now available in five designs to suit most tastes, regardless of the kind of musical genre you're rockin' to. Since these earphones were specially tuned by engineers who deal with the stage earphones of your favorite artists, you can be sure that your ears will appreciate the quality. Apart from looking good, you will also be able to enjoy up to 24 dBs of noise isolation, while each pair is equipped with a quartet of ear cushions that deliver a snug fit, making it ideal for periods of extended listening. We don't think it will be as hardy as Corsair's HS1 USB gaming headset, but it ought to rock it with the best.

Concept: Green Voice Bottle Speakers

Here's a rather strange but pretty design. The Green Voice concept speaker is powered by a paper battery and uses empty recycled PET bottles to function. It's a strange design, but you can't deny that it serves as a good form of modern decoration that can be used to keep you entertained while helping you ensure your home looks modern. The use of different bottles will help you get different designs with the speaker, which helps to differentiate it from the rest.

Pioneer Hi-Fi X-CM30 iPod dock does more than audio playback

Another day, another iPod dock - or so it seems. The Pioneer Hi-Fi X-CM30 does have one drawback which we think could be pretty major - it supports only iPods, which means those who tote iPhones won't be able to enjoy the Pioneer experience. No idea on why Pioneer decided to gimp the compact Hi-Fi X-CM30 this way, but all's said and done already. With this device, you can transport your videos and photos from the iPod over to the TV, while playing just about any format available which is stored on a CD or USB flash drive. If you ever get bored, there is the integrated FM tuner to get you going, pumping out what DJs are talking about via its 24W output (2x12W) speakers. Expect to see this model hit Japan this September for a yet undisclosed price point.

Sony announces new music and video download service

As expected, Sony decided to attempt to rain on Apple's parade with the announcement of a new music and video download service at the IFA technology fair in Berlin. This new cloud-based service will be made available to PlayStation 3 consoles, Bravia TVs, Blu-Ray players and Sony's range of personal computers. While movies will be on offer at first, music will be included before the year is over. Using Sony's online service platform known as Qriocity that has delivered video-on-demand in the US since April 2010, it will now arrive in Europe as well. As for the Music Unlimited service, that will happen at the end of the year. Pricing details are expected to be announced at a later date.
