Ride on Mower

You don’t have to own an estate to use a Ride on Mower. It is pointless having one of course if your garden is the size of a postage stamp. However, if you have a normal sized large garden then a ride on mower is a genuine option.

Ride on mowers can save you hours and hours of toil. Instead of walking up and down your garden, you can ride on a garden tractor and enjoy the experience.

The decision on whether a ride on mower is right for you will come down to the size of your garden. If you have a small garden, you will only need a small mower. The reverse is therefore true, a larger garden requires a larger mower. A ride on mower is the most time efficient method of cutting a large garden. You may of course have a need to cut grass for something other than a garden, such as a school playing field, a local park, local football club pitches etc.

Our friends over at Gadget Heaven ™ have put together a buying guide to a Ride on Mower, which we think is a very useful starting point when buying a petrol driven lawn mower.

Ride on Mower Safety

Ride on lawn mowers are the fastest growing gardening tools sector today. There is without doubt a huge demand for gardening tools that save time, as we move into a time-poor lifestyle.

We no longer have hours and hours of spare time to spend on our gardens but we did retain the desire to have beautiful looking gardens. Ride on mowers are thus in demand.

We must however, ensure that we operate these large mowers, or even small tractors, in a safe environment. Here are a few top tips;

  1. Never let children operate a ride on lawn mower
  2. Ensure the driver of a large scale garden tractor has a drivers licence
  3. Always use the seatbelt on the mower
  4. Be careful, at all times
  5. Maintain and service the mower at regular intervals
  6. Unblock blades frequently
  7. Ride on mowers are not toys, treat them as motor vehicles
  8. Respect yourself and others
  9. Never use the mower in bad weather or in poor light
  10. Never use the mower whilst under the influence of alcoholic drink or drugs
